Construction staking surveys may consist of tough grade staking for parking lots, roadways or building outlines or site layout staking which will ensure that all underground utilities are installed accurately first and that the layout of the sanitary sewer lines, storm drain lines, water lines, electrical lines, etc. follows correctly.

  1. The surveyor performs research regarding the historical records of your parcel as well as those around it.
  2. A survey is conducted in the field which measures, marks and maps the boundary lines of ownership, determines the locations of natural and man-made features of your parcel and lays out necessary field staking.
  3. After the historical records and the data collected in the field are compared, the surveyor reconciles this information.
  4. When finished reconciling, the surveyor creates a drawing of your parcel that shows a plan of the property, highlighting written descriptions of any buildings.
